Arcade cabinet
Your last run is still in the room.
What it is
A room, run against a clock, and then run again beside a replay of the run you just did. Every attempt adds another copy of you to the room, and solving it means using your own past selves as part of the solution.
How it scores
A fifth of a coin a point. Each room pays around 100 points plus bonuses, so a clean ladder is roughly 1,000 points and about 200 coins. Like the other two puzzle cabinets it has a top — a perfect run of every room — so it cannot be farmed by playing longer, only better.
The cabinet pays 0.2 coins per point of score, before the daily cap described on the arcade page.
How to approach it
Plan the run you are about to record, not the one you are in. The copy you leave behind is a tool for the next attempt, and a sloppy first run is a sloppy tool forever.
By the numbers
| Pays | 0.2 coins per point |
|---|---|
| At 1,000 points | 200 coins |
| Reports | A running score |
| Music | 124 BPM |

That is the third-highest of the 5 rates in use, shared with 2 other cabinets. The rates are not arbitrary: a cabinet with a natural ceiling pays more per point than one you can play forever, because the second kind can be farmed by playing longer and the first can only be farmed by playing better.
The tempo is a design parameter rather than decoration. A cabinet is allowed its own BPM and nothing else about its music, because tempo is the one musical thing a game has an opinion about — a game played in bursts wants a different pulse from one played in a held breath. At 124 this is in the middle of the range.
Payouts are computed on the server, not in your browser — a balance the page holds is a balance a player can edit. The first 500 coins a day come at full rate and everything after that at a fifth.
