Lattice

Expert course

Ninety degrees into a one-cell target every hop, with two plunges to rest.

What it is

Lattice turns ninety degrees into a one-cell target on every hop, with two plunges built in to rest on. Thirty jumps in 38 steps across 90 cells, climbing 20 and netting 5.

The route

The turn-and-land pattern is unbroken except at the plunges, which drop 3 cells and are the only part of the course that does not ask for accuracy. Four checkpoints. The widest gap is 4.1 cells and it recurs rather than appearing once — this is the course that asks for a hard jump the greatest number of times.

How to approach it

Use the plunges to reset your rhythm, not just your position. They are the only two places on the course where a sloppy landing costs nothing.

What it teaches: Combining a turn and a minimum landing, thirty times.

Controls

What you need to start

MoveWASDArrow keys work too.
JumpSpace
Sprint / lock onShiftA latch, not a hold: tap once to arm sprint and a camera lock-on together, tap again to release both. Neither carries over into the next world you open.

Sprint is a latch rather than a hold — tap it once and it stays on. Every control, keyboard and touch, including respawn, restart and the camera keys, and all of them rebindable.

Other Expert courses

  • Overclock — Single-block landings, the whole way. One jump sits on the limit.
  • Filament — Flat single-cell landings, turning the whole time. One long jump up.
  • Arc Light — A single-cell spiral almost straight up, then the whole way back down.
